A brand-new addition to ISA Atlanta 2020, ISA is bringing its member’s high-potential Emerging Leaders to the convention.
ISA is offering two ways for Emerging Leaders to attend the convention. For those 40 and under, an all access pass that allows an EL to attend the entire convention, as well as specific education tracks exclusively for Emerging Leaders. ISA is also offering an Emerging Leaders hot pass, a discounted registration that is aimed to capture those young in their career who have never been to an ISA convention before.
According to Ed Gerber, ISA’s president, “We see young talent as the future of the industry, and what better way to ensure their path to success than by engaging them in the industry’s top education and networking opportunity.”
Both Emerging Leaders passes include special access into the Emerging Leaders lounge at the opening reception, where all EL attendees will get to network with the ISA Board of Directors and their fellow peers in the industry. The lounge will also include some Emerging Leaders swag for EL’s to pick up and use throughout the convention.
On day two, Emerging Leaders will attend morning education starting with ISA 360, and then head to their own exclusive tracks. The Emerging Leaders educational tracks are structured around financial literacy - Sonia M Timmons – VP, Financial, Planning & Analysis for Vallen will take a deep dive into financial literacy, focusing on the trends and terms every EL should know and how to apply them in their careers. Part two will focus on taking those terms and applying them towards interpreting data, a skill easily translated back into the tools ISA provides its members like Distributor and Manufacturer analytics.
Emerging Leaders will have the option to attend a third educational track of their choosing, allowing them to participate in other relevant sessions such as Distributor Analytics Panel – The Next Level, Manufacturer Analytics Panel – The Results are Clear, IMR 3.0 – The Journey Continues, or ISA Inclusion Initiative: Women’s Advocacy in the Industrial Channel. Those attending with an all access pass will then continue on to Distributor day.
“I started attending ISA’s annual convention at twenty-three and gained relevant insight into the industry’s most relevant trends while making connections important in my career, yet I was one of the very few people under thirty,” says Allison Beacham, Marketing & Communications Manager for ISA. “I’m hopeful the Emerging Leaders hot pass encourages companies to invest in their younger hi-po employees and gets them to ISA Atlanta 2020.”
Emerging Leaders will host its larger three-day Summer Summit in Chicago this August, specific summit information will be released at ISA Atlanta 2020.
ISA is focused on how to Engage, Learn, Lead through Channel 2.0 and beyond. Bringing Emerging Leaders to the convention engages the industry’s top hi-potential talent, leading the channel forward.
