Summit Electric Supply Announces New CFO

Thomas Klemp takes over the roles of CFO and Vice President after serving as VP for a division of Layne Christensen, a global water management, construct, and drilling company.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Thomas Klemp is now Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance for Summit Electric Supply. Klemp was recently the Vice President of Finance and Administration for a division of Layne Christensen, a global water management, construction, and drilling company, where he developed operational efficiencies and oversaw global compliance programs. Klemp will be based out of Summit’s Houston, Texas offices.

Klemp advanced quickly into financial leadership roles supporting operational excellence as a result of his experience in corporate accounting, internal audit, and financial planning and analysis. Throughout his 19-year career, he’s been successful at leading accounting and support teams internationally while managing divisional growth and financial infrastructures for several global, publicly-traded companies. As a key financial business partner, he’s also driven improvements in risk management, positioning strategy, and pricing.
