Houston-based GHX Industrial, a subsidiary of The United Distribution Group, announced Monday that it has acquired Alabama-based distributor Valley of Birmingham.
Located in Pelham, AL, Valley of Birmingham (VOB) is a value-added distributor of gaskets and fluid sealing products and operates from a single 10,6000 square foot facility. VOB provides a wide range of MRO products, and UDG says VOB is well known by its customers for its factory trained and certified specialists and for providing 24/7 service as well as “just in time” service throughout the region it serves.

Jerald Johns, who purchased VOB in 1983, will remain with GHX and assume leadership for the location as branch manager.
