Fastener and industrial supply distributor Packer Fastener has opened its latest new distribution center in Salt Lake City, company officials announced Tuesday.
The 55,000-square-foot facility on the city’s far west side is Packer’s first expansion into the West and its fifth new distribution center to open in less than two years. The Green Bay, Wisconsin-based company established its second overall distribution hub near Kansas City in 2024, then added centers in Ohio, Georgia and Mississippi last year; another new hub in Indiana opened this spring.
Seth Halgren, a former sales rep at the company’s Madison, Wisconsin, branch who led the expansion to Ohio, will helm the Utah facility. Packer officials said that the center would “support major manufacturing and construction projects in the region.”
“We’re following our customers in renewable energy, data centers and power generation, and going exactly where they need us most, and we’re not slowing down,” Packer CEO Terry Albrecht said in the announcement. “From warehouse to worksite, the Packer Fastener team is here to keep Salt Lake City projects stocked, organized and on schedule.”
