Sonepar subsidiary Echo Electric announced Monday that it plans to add a new branch in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The new location would be Echo’s fifth in Indiana — joining branches in Indianapolis, Evansville, Terre Haute and Vincennes — and its 65th overall across the Midwest and Ohio Valley. It will house a counter and will-call area, as well as inside sales, branch and account management staff and wire management operations. Sonepar officials expect it to create 12 jobs.

“Fort Wayne is a strong industrial market, and this new branch will bring customers closer to the products, expertise and specialized services they need to keep facilities online and productive,” Echo President Chris Scarbrough said in a statement.
