Material handling equipment manufacturer Rite-Hite officially opened a newly expanded manufacturing facility in suburban Memphis, company officials announced Thursday.

The Wednesday ribbon-cutting ceremony followed a seven-month project at the plant in Horn Lake, Mississippi, one of the Milwaukee-based company’s three U.S. factories. Rite-Hite said that the project doubled its occupied space in Horn Lake, expanded its manufacturing and staging areas, remodeled office and break areas, and installed new employee locker rooms.

Just over 200 people work at the over 427,000-square-foot facility, which makes loading dock levelers and vehicle restraints.

The announcement also noted that the plant recently marked one year without any safety incidents at the Mississippi site.
