Iowa motor and controls manufacturer Bodine Electric Company named a longtime company veteran as its new leader, company officials announced late last month.

The company’s board of directors voted to name Jeff Stahl to succeed Jeff Bodine as president at its annual meeting. Stahl has served as the company’s chief financial offer for more than 25 years.

Jeff Bodine retired after nearly 48 years at the company in mid-April, including the past nine as its president. He will continue to serve as the company’s board chairman.

“Leadership transitions are significant milestones, particularly in a company like Bodine Electric with a proud family heritage, and I believe this transition will be seamless,” Jeff Bodine said in a statement. “I move into this next chapter of my life with tremendous confidence in our team and in the future of Bodine Electric Company.”
