Consulting firm Revenue Optics announced a pair of new appointments late last month, including a leader for its recently launched pricing and revenue growth management practice.

Shafohi Alamgir joined the company Aug. 24 as vice president, pricing and revenue growth management. Alamgir previously held pricing roles at AG Growth International, Molex, Wesco and Gexpro. She began her career at General Electric.

The pricing practice joins Revenue Optics' existing practices in sales transformation, talent solutions, and AI and automation.

“Coverage decides whether you get the order. Pricing decides whether it was worth winning,” said Revenue Optics founder and CEO Ali Hasham. “Now we are putting the two together inside one firm."

The firm also named John Gunderson as executive advisor, channel and go-to-market. Gunderson’s previous stops include Crescent Electric, HD Supply, White Cap and Anixter.

“There is a band of accounts in nearly every distributor that is profitable, reachable and receiving no proactive contact,” Gunderson said in a statement, “because the economics of an outside sales model will not stretch that far; the channel has understood this for a decade.”
