Motor manufacturer Nidec on Tuesday announced the promotions of a new president and a new chief technology officer in its commercial and industrial division.
Tim Schamel, who was previously the president of Nidec/U.S. Motors, will serve as president of Nidec Commercial & Industrial, while Tim Albers, formerly the company’s senior director of product management, is now CTO.
Nidec officials said that the moves reflected the company’s “organizational strengthening strategy” that aims to ensure “greater alignment across all areas of Nidec’s Appliance, Commercial and Industrial Motors business unit.”
