Border States has promoted Area Director Andrew Mikulak to be the company’s new vice president of distribution, officials announced Monday.
Mikulak joined the North Dakota-based distributor in 2015. He held “several” branch leadership positions before guiding “multi-branch” operations as its area director. He succeeds Zach Kincaid, who was named the company’s VP of procurement in February.
“Throughout his career, Andrew has consistently demonstrated the ability to step into complex environments, quickly learn the business and lead effectively — capabilities critical to Border States as we continue to grow and evolve,” Border States Supply Chain Executive Vice President James Sipe said in the announcement.
“As Border States continues to grow, my focus is on supporting our employee‑owners and customers with the clarity, alignment and operational strength needed to sustain that momentum and enable future growth,” said Mikulak.
Border States is the no. 20 distributor on ID’s latest Big 50 list.
