Singer Industrial on Monday announced the promotion of its top executive to a new title.

The Dallas-based industrial rubber and fluid power distributor — no. 28 on ID’s latest Big 50 list — named President Pete Haberbosch as its chief executive officer. The company said that Haberbosch would continue to lead Singer’s acquisition strategy under his new title through its “Coordinated Autonomy” strategy, which aims to provide its business units with local autonomy while offering centralized systems, services and financial infrastructure.

Singer, the company said, has expanded its footprint under Haberbosch while maintaining its customer relationships and technical capabilities.

“Pete has been instrumental in developing and executing the 'Coordinated Autonomy' model that defines Singer Industrial today,” Singer Chairman Don Fritzinger said in the announcement. “His leadership ensures we will continue to grow with purpose — leveraging scale while staying close to our customers.”

Haberbosch was named president of the company in June of 2024. He previously led marketing and acquisitions activities at Singer and served as general manager of two of its platform businesses. Before joining Singer, he held positions at Gates Corp. and Fenner PLC.
