Wholesale hardware and building materials distributor House-Hasson on Wednesday named Northern Tool & Equipment executive Jeff Land as its new CEO.
Company officials said the appointment followed a five-month, nationwide search by House-Hasson’s board and an executive search firm for a replacement for the retiring Steve Henry.
Land, previously the senior vice president of merchandising, inventory management, product management and global sourcing at Northern Tool, has also held senior roles at Generac and Harbor Freight.
“Jeff Land is a proven leader with deep experience across manufacturing, distribution and retail within the hardware and building materials industry,” House-Hasson Chairman Jim Hasson said in a statement. “As House-Hasson continues to grow in scale and complexity, the board determined that this was the right moment to bring in a leader with the operational discipline, strategic vision and industry insight needed to guide the company forward.
“House-Hasson’s nearly 120-year legacy is built on helping independent dealers grow stronger and more profitable in the communities they serve,” said Land. “I’m honored to join this exceptional team and look forward to advancing that legacy by investing in the capabilities and partnerships that will drive the next era of growth.”
