German automotive and industrial giant Continental this week appointed a new distribution leader for its ContiTech division’s industrial operations in the Americas.
Jim Hill, formerly the vice president of marketing and strategy in the Industrial Solutions Americas, or IAM, segment, was promoted to vice president of distribution for IAM business. In his new role, Hill will lead the business’ distribution efforts across the region.
“Jim’s extensive industry experience and proven leadership make him well suited to lead our distribution strategy in the Americas,” Andreas Gerstenberger, the CEO of ContiTech USA and the head of the IAM business, said in a statement. “His deep knowledge of our markets and customers will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our distribution network.”
Continental announced last spring that it intended to spin off the ContiTech unit in a bid to focus on its vehicle tires business.
