North Carolina fire and safety distributor Brooks Safety Solutions has announced a new CEO, as well as a new company president.

Garland Williams, most recently the senior vice president and an executive committee member at plumbing supply giant Ferguson, will succeed Eric Smith as CEO. Smith will remain on the company’s board and “continue to provide strategic guidance and oversight,” the company said.

Sean Kramer, whose career included spans at Stellantis, Volkswagen, SiteOne Landscape Supply and — most recently — as chief digital officer at Artera Services, was named president.

"Garland's strong leadership and track record leading growth-oriented organizations, combined with Sean's proven ability to drive growth and operational excellence, create a powerful leadership combination for BSS," Smith said in the announcement.

“My focus will be on continuing BSS' trajectory, strengthening our operational backbone, investing in our people, and ensuring we deliver unmatched value and reliability for our customers,” said Williams.
