Chris DeBoer
Director of Marketing & Sales at HARDI

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) has promoted Chris DeBoer to director of marketing & sales. Formerly manager of marketing & communications, DeBoer has been integral to HARDI's growth in recent years.

Since he joined HARDI in 2014, DeBoer and his marketing team have achieved several milestones, including year-over-year record attendance at HARDI Annual Conference and record membership numbers. He is also currently embarking on a special project at HARDI producing a documentary to be used as a recruitment tool for the industry.

"During my time at HARDI, I have been given the opportunity to learn and develop tremendously," DeBoer said. "The association has allowed me to take risks and make moves that had not been done before. I’m extremely appreciative of the promotion and look forward to continuing to evolve the association. Working with HARDI members has been really amazing, and I can't wait to talk to and work even closer with more of them in this new role."

HARDI has also expanded its Columbus, OH, headquarters team with the addition of Elizabeth Reed as administrative assistant. Reed, a Dayton, OH, native, joined HARDI after a four-year tenure working as dispatcher for the Notre Dame College Police Department on the east side of Cleveland while concurrently earning a bachelor's degree in both criminal justice and political science.

"Our resources are constantly going through changes that can stretch our departments and staff in different directions," said Mike Coughlin, director of operations, HARDI. “Izzy will give us the opportunity to balance our internal operations with the different external priorities we have through the year, such as our events or benchmarking deadlines."

"HARDI, as an organization, is growing," said Talbot Gee, CEO of HARDI. “And this continued growth over the years means we need to regularly make adjustments in order to keep serving our members at the highest levels while also giving us the ability to keep growing and improving. These organizational moves allow us to do just that."
