ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Summit Electric Supply opened a new service center in Abilene, Texas in August 2012, expanding its operation in the western part of the state.

“Abilene is a market Summit has been interested in for a long time,” said Scott Cogan, Summit’s Southwest regional vice president. The city is located near the rich oil and gas producing region of the Permian Basin, which extends from western Texas into southeastern New Mexico.

Cogan added that Summit will target a broad range of customers in Abilene including commercial; industrial maintenance, repair, and operation; and institutional.

Brian Luckenbach, a long-time Summit account manager, is Abilene’s new service center leader.
