Last year, our annual Survey of Distributor Operations delivered its 65th year of data and analysis based on responses from our readers. While this segment of our print magazine takes a lot of time and effort to develop, we receive more feedback on it than any other editorial work we do, besides The Big 50 List.
What the Survey of Distributor Operations provides is a chance for our readers to take a look at the specific demographics, operational decisions, purchasing habits, and strategic plans of the readers of Industrial Distribution. It strives to provide statistical insight into questions like how distributors are recruiting and retaining employees; where their eCommerce initiatives are headed; and which supplier and customer concerns truly keep them up at night.
This kind of report is something you might have to pay a research firm to conduct, but we feel it’s valuable enough to provide to our readers free of charge. The only thing we ask in return is your time. There are still a few days left to complete our survey, and if we haven’t yet reached you via email, we’d ask you to please take the time to provide your input (It takes about ten minutes). The survey itself is completely anonymous, although we invite you to submit your name for our drawing, where one lucky respondent will win an iPad Mini. Entries will close at the end of the day, Monday, April 8th.
Even if you don’t have time to participate, we ask you to please look for the results of the survey in this year’s May/June issue, and on our website beginning in May. Thanks, as always, for your commitment to the Industrial Distribution brand.
