White Cap Adds Pennsylvania Distribution Hub

White Cap has officially opened the company’s second “Enterprise Distribution Center” in eastern Pennsylvania.

White Cap Supply Holdings LLC/PRNewswireCompany officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday for the more than 480,000-square-foot facility in Bethlehem, which is also its first EDC in the eastern U.S.; the company opened its first EDC in Southern California last year.

White Cap officials said that the facility would serve 67 branches across 13 states, including those in the New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., markets. The EDC currently employs 66 people, and White Cap expects to increase its workforce to over 70 as its operations grow.

White Cap also announced during the ceremony that it would donate $5,000 to both the Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company in Bethlehem and the Upper Nazareth Fire Department in nearby Nazareth.

The company is the no. 7 distributor on ID's latest Big 50 list.
