The Power Transmission Distributors Association said Tuesday that Ajay Bajaj, the owner and president of Ontario distributor Rotator Products Limited, received the annual Warren Pike Award at the group’s 2025 Industry Summit event.

The award, named for the PTDA’s first president, recognizes lifetime achievement in the power transmission and motion control industry.

Bajaj, originally an engineer at a manufacturer in New Delhi, helped launch Voith’s operations in Canada before joining Rotator Products. He purchased the company in the early 2000s and transformed it from “a traditional power transmission supplier into a provider of engineered solutions,” the group said.

He also served as PTDA president in 2015 in addition to time on the board, its committees and, currently, the PTDA Foundation board of trustees.

“It’s incredibly fulfilling to support scholarships and awards that help the next generation of industry professionals,” Bajaj said in a statement. “The work may not always apply directly to my company, but it’s important to support the industry as a whole. What we invest now will benefit all of us in the long run.”

The PTDA Industry Summit, held last month in San Antonio, featured nearly 450 distributors and manufacturers, the group said.
