The Industrial Supply Association recognized officials from Vallen and Kyocera SGS Precision Tools Group at the group’s ISA26 event in Cleveland this week.
Vallen CFO Sonia Timmons received the Women’s Influence Award, while Tom Haag, the longtime president of SGS Tool and, later, Kyocera SGS, received the John J. Buckley Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Women’s Influence Award honors an individual from an ISA member for a commitment to advancing “the development and influence of women in the industrial supply channel.”
“Sonia’s influence shows up in the way people grow around her,” Joby Strobo, staff champion for ISA’s Women in Industry Network, said in the announcement. “She creates space for women to develop, lead and advance while holding herself to the highest professional standard. Her impact is lasting, and it’s felt far beyond her own role.”
The Buckley award, meanwhile, recognizes “longstanding service” to the industrial MROP channel.
“Tom’s career is a powerful example of what long-term leadership and service look like in our industry,” ISA President and CEO Brendan Breen said in a statement. “For decades, Tom helped shape not only a respected organization but also the broader industrial supply channel through his integrity, commitment to excellence, and willingness to give back.”
ISA26 continues through Wednesday.
