Winsupply named a Kansas City waterworks subsidiary as its “company of the year” and a water heating giant as its “vendor of the year” at its recent annual meeting in suburban Dallas.
The Winsupply Family of Companies held its annual meetings and vendor showcase — as well as marked its 70th anniversary — during the March 29-April 2 event in Grapevine, Texas, the company said Wednesday. Nearly 1,000 local company representatives attended, along with over 200 employees from Winsupply’s Dayton, Ohio, Support Services campus and about 1,000 representatives from some 200 vendor partners.
The Family of Companies represents hundreds of Winsupply-owned subsidiaries whose leaders also own stakes in those businesses.
“There is an amazing synergy that occurs when hundreds of entrepreneurs gather in a single space,” Winsupply Local Company Group President Rob Ferguson said in the announcement. “The energy at this event was truly extraordinary.”
Among Winsupply subsidiaries, Kansas City Winwater Co. was recognized as “Overall Company of the Year.” Category winners included:

- North Texas Winwater Co. as “Waterworks Company of the Year”
- Winsupply Houston Tx Co. as “HVAC Company of the Year”
- Odessa Winlectric Co. as “Electrical Company of the Year”
- Winsupply W Phoenix AZ Co. as “Plumbing Company of the Year”
- Newburgh Windustrial Supply Co. as “Fire & Fabrication Company of the Year”
- Winsupply Lubbock Tx Co. as “Irrigation/Pumps/Tools Company of the Year” and
- Winsupply Gilbert AZ Co. as “Winsupply Sourcing Services Local Company of the Year”
KC Windustrial Co. was named “Rookie of the Year,” while Aurora Winnelson Co. received the “Best Turn-Around Award.”
A. O. Smith, meanwhile, received the award for “Overall Vendor of the Year,” and was joined by other "Vendor of the Year" winners:
