Grainger has been named among the “World’s Most Ethical Companies” for the second consecutive year, company officials announced Wednesday.

The recognition, developed by Ethisphere, evaluates potential recipients based on more than 240 “proof points” that support their ethics and compliance standards, including governance, training and enforcement, among others.

Grainger was among 138 companies worldwide honored this year.

"At Grainger, doing the right thing is foundational to how we operate and the principles that guide us every day," Grainger Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer Nic Eichenseer said in a statement. "It's how we've earned trust and built lasting relationships with our customers, partners and communities for nearly a century, and we're honored to have this team commitment recognized."
