NAED Announces Women In Industry Trailblazer Award

Eaton vice president of sales recognized for exemplary leadership and commitment to industry

St, Louis, MO - The National Association of Electrical Distributors is proud to recognize Tammy Livers, vice president of sales for Eaton’s Residential and Wiring Devices Division, with its 2014 Women in Industry Trailblazer award.

Livers will be presented the award on Thursday, June 26, 2014, in front of a record-breaking crowd during the Women in Industry (WII) Forum in Nashville, Tenn. The award honors Livers’ outstanding and dedicated service to the association, its Women in Industry Forum and the electrical distribution industry at large.

In addition to her work at Eaton, Livers is active in NAED, giving her free time and experience to the WII Committee. She joined the committee in 2010, served on as a member of the expert panel in 2011 and was twice the featured speaker at WII Bootcamps. Livers also serves as a mentor in the WII mentoring program.

Livers has also served on the board of directors for the Make-a-Wish Foundation in southern Illinois, where she lived prior to moving to Atlanta for a promotion. She has also volunteered for adult literacy tutoring and was on the board of directors and co-chaired the fundraising initiative for the HANDS Foundation, a non-profit organization that advocates for senior citizens.

Through the Women in Industry Forum, NAED works to increase the visibility of women serving in the electrical distribution channel. Through bootcamps and an annual conference, the Forum offers a supportive, mentoring environment for fostering education, personal growth and relationship among women serving the industry.

NAED is the trade association for the $70+ billion electrical distribution industry. Through networking, education, research, and benchmarking, NAED helps electrical distributors increase profitability and improve the channel. NAED’s membership represents more than 5,100 locations internationally.
