Stephens officially assumed his new role in early September, the company told Industrial Distribution. He previously served as CEO at both American Packing & Gasket and Motor City Industrial, and spent 25 years at Fastenal.
E&R has also added former Motor City Industrial Chief Revenue Officer Jason Brown to the same position.
E&R, originally founded in 1969, was owned by Grainger from 2013 to late 2023, when it was sold to private equity firm Paradigm Equity Partners. In addition to its suburban Detroit headquarters, the company also operates facilities in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Missouri.
