American Producers Supply Company, a major supplier of industrial, construction and oilfield supplies in the Midwest, has announced the acquisition of Northwest Tool Supply, a long-standing construction supplier located in Wixom, MI, northwest of Detroit.
American Producers Supply (APS) has experienced significant growth in all three of its market segments. The acquisition of Northwest Tool Supply on June 26 extends the geographic coverage of American Producers to include southern Michigan and will now include northwestern Ohio for daily delivery service.
American Producers is honored to have both the former owners of Northwest Tool Supply — Carroll Randall and Larry Seiler — and all of their employees joining the APS family. This acquisition is contiguous to the existing markets covered by American Producers and fits extremely well into the hub-and-spoke concept utilized by APS to provide same day/next day delivery to their entire customer base.
With this addition, American Producers now has 13 locations in the Midwest. Prior to the acquisition, American Producers serviced customers throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Western Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Southern Indiana with corporate headquarters in Marietta. Branches are located in Columbus, Sunbury, Lancaster, Cincinnati and Portsmouth, OH; Huntington and St.Albans, WV; and in Bridgeville, PA, 8 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, Louisville and Glasgow, KY and Ferdinand, IN.
American Producers is a full line construction supply distributor as well as a complete maintenance, repair and operating supplies distributor. APS also offers specialized services throughout the United States for various industries including railroad, power generation, oil and gas pipeline, coal mining and many metal, aluminum and wood manufacturing facilities. Some of these services include safety inspections, on-site hydraulic bolting services and calibrations, and specialized lifting and rigging manufacturing. American Producers also supplies construction tools, products and supplies to many major roofing, highway and general contractors throughout the midwest.
