Recently, Mouser Electronics, Inc., an authorized global distributor of electronic components and industrial automation products, announced shipping of the BMV080 particulate matter sensor from Bosch. The BMV080 offers a compact, fanless design suited for ultra-compact wearable and IoT devices.

The BMV080 particulate matter sensor is designed to measure PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 mass concentration accurately in small form factor devices such as air-quality monitors, smart speakers, smart switches, smart thermostats, and air purifiers.

Features & Benefits:

  • Compact size: 4.4 × 3.0 × 20 mm including flex PCB
  • Fanless, non-intrusive design to reduce dust buildup and improve reliability
  • Utilizes VCSEL technology and advanced algorithms for precise PM measurement
  • Measures PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 mass concentration

Ideal for wearable devices and compact IoT applications requiring reliable air quality measurement without the use of a fan.

The Bosch Sensortec BMV080 Shuttle Board 3.1 is also available for evaluation purposes when combined with the Bosch application board 3.1.
