HercuFlex Introduces Gear Couplings Line

The highly-optimized gear coupling offers increased nominal torque, larger maximum bore size, and longer service life.

Lovejoy, a provider of flexible couplings, recently announced the release of its new HercuFlex gear coupling product line. By deploying the latest advances in Finite Element Analysis technology, in combination with its decades of experience selling its popular Sier-Bath gear coupling line, Lovejoy's engineering team was able to develop a highly optimized gear coupling that offers increased nominal torque, larger maximum bore size and longer service life. Furthermore, the HercuFlex gear coupling still utilizes the standard AGMA flange interface to ensure half coupling field interchangeability with other AGMA compliant flanged gear coupling.

HercuFlex gear coupling are designed to handle 1.5 degrees of misalignment per gear mesh, are manufactured out of alloy steel hubs and sleeves (as a standard default), have improved fastener corrosion resistance, and have an advanced seal design for increased contamination resistance.

Hubs and seals have also been standardized across both the flange and continuous sleeves HercuFlex gear coupling designs and are interchangeable between platforms. This commonality allows for increased inventory rationalization for stocking partners.
