Intertape Polymer Group has announced Ripcord, a knife-free tape head technology designed to bring an end to damaged product returns and utility knife injuries in the workplace.
Ripcord is applied when a box is sealed, with a thin line of cord applied underneath the tape by the case sealing machine. This leaves a pull tab for the package recipient to rip the box open without using sharp tools and thus avoiding workplace injuries.
