FREMONT, Calif.-- Redwood Systems, the leader in building-performance lighting solutions, and Anixter, a leading global supplier of communications and security products, electrical and electronic wire and cable, fasteners and other small components, today announced an agreement to distribute Redwood Systems' premier line of lighting control products across North America. The partnership will provide Redwood with access to Anixter's market-leading presence and well-respected brand, while Anixter will add energy efficiency and sustainability solutions to its robust customer offering.
Redwood Systems' innovative lighting platform replaces traditional copper wire with a low-voltage infrastructure that uses direct current (DC) power, as opposed to alternating current (AC) power. This approach allows structured cabling providers to enter the multi-billion dollar lighting market.
