You've now seen our 2017 Big 50 video countdown of the largest distributors of industrial products (and if not, you really should). Like the Big 50 and the Fortune 500, the annual Inc. 5000 list is a well-known ranking of companies — with the list based on 3-year growth rates. Essentially, it's a list of the fastest-growing companies in America.
Inc. recently unveiled its 2017 list, which included a number of industrial products distributors and suppliers. Here's where they ranked.

As you can see, only a couple of true industrial distributors made the list, with no one in the top 2,000. All Industrial Tool Supply comes in at No. 2,125, up from 2,232 a year ago. The Huntington Beach, CA company — founded in 2010 — sells metalworking tools and machine shop supplies to home hobbyists, machinists and manufacturers around the world. All Industrial was featured in Industrial Distribution's 2017 Watch List, and president Jeff Perry was featured in my March blog titled, "Newer Industrial Distributors’ Digital Advantage."
Also on the list is Machesney Park, IL-based Field Fastener at 4,216. The fastener distributor has made the Inc. 5000 in seven straight years.
