AUSTIN, TX — Kennametal and Stanley Black & Decker have been selected from more than 3,000 companies to receive the first Supplier of the Year awards ever presented by MSC Industrial Supply Co. — No. 13 on Industrial Distribution's Big 50 List.
Kennametal, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, is a global industrial technology leader that serves many industrial segments, including aerospace, earthworks, energy, general engineering and transportation. Kennametal was honored with MSC's premiere Supplier of the Year Award.
Stanley Black & Decker, based in New Britain, CT, was presented the company's MRO Supplier of the Year Award. Stanley Black & Decker is a diversified global provider of hand tools, power tools and related accessories, electronic security solutions, healthcare solutions, engineered fastening systems and more.
The awards were presented to Kennametal and Stanley Black & Decker representatives Thursday at MSC's Supplier Summit in Austin, TX.

Selection for the MSC Supplier of the Year awards is based on a rigorous set of criteria, including a strategic approach to customer service, technology innovation, new product introductions, breadth and quality of brand portfolios, operational excellence, sales training and engagement, and marketing and sales materials.
