Shurtape Technologies Appoints VP of Industrial Marketing

Kevin Stamets now leads the design and execution of the global B2B marketing strategy for Shurtape brand tape products.

HICKORY, NC — Shurtape Technologies, a manufacturer and marketer of pressure-sensitive tapes based in Hickory, NC, announces the addition of Kevin Stamets to its executive management team. Stamets joins the company as vice president of industrial marketing within the company’s Industrial group.

StametsStametsIn this role, Stamets will lead the design and execution of the global B2B marketing strategy for Shurtape brand tape products. He is responsible for overseeing market and distribution strategy, product development and brand management for the commercial and industrial channels, including HVAC, electrical, general MRO, building and construction and more.

Stamets brings over 30 years of product management and marketing expertise to this role. He began his career with an engineering and product management focus while at Nilfisk-Advance and The Kent Company, and then spent five years leading product management and marketing across several business units for Graco. His most recent stint was with Ingersoll Rand as Global Corporate Director of Marketing Strategy, where he expanded his leadership in product management and marketing across several business units for the past 13 years.

Stamets received an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn. He is also a graduate of Indiana University, where he studied both marketing and advertising, and completed two years studying mechanical engineering while at Purdue University. Kevin currently resides in Huntersville, NC, with his wife and has two children.
