Main Street Capital Corp. has acquired a minority share of suburban Houston valve, actuator and flow control distributor Midstream Valve Partners, officials announced Tuesday.

Main Street said that the “minority recapitalization” of MVP included an investment of $39.3 million through “a combination of first lien, senior secured term debt and a direct minority equity investment.” The deal was made in partnership with MVP’s founder, the firm added.

Main Street says that it provides long-term debt and equity capital to lower middle-market companies, as well as debt capital to companies either owned by or in the process of being acquired by a private equity fund.

Tomball, Texas-based MVP, founded in 2019, supplies companies in the energy infrastructure and refining sectors, including midstream pipeline operators, fabricators, and engineering, procurement and construction firms.
