Motion & Control Enterprises has acquired a Texas-based distributor of chemical injection pump systems, equipment and aftermarket parts, company officials announced Saturday.

MJ Systems LLC, which operates a flagship location in suburban Houston and another facility near New Orleans, serves the petrochemical and oil & gas markets in those states as well as in southern Mississippi. MCE Chairman and CEO Charles Hale said that the addition of MJS “provides MCE with an expanded set of highly engineered products and technical expertise that adds scale to our growing Gulf Coast presence.”

Matt Schroeder, who founded MJS in 2007, will continue to lead the business under MCE. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“The combination with MCE positions our company to better serve the current and future needs of our customers and suppliers,” Schroeder said in the announcement. “MCE brings resources that align well with our business and will help support our growth initiatives.”

The transaction is MCE’s fourth acquisition so far in 2026. The Pennsylvania-based company ranked at no. 33 on ID’s latest Big 50 list.
