Sonepar Has Acquired BTF-Group In Germany

This new acquisition represents a major step forward for Sonepar Deustchland as the BTF Group is a well-known player in Germany generating annual sales of 50 million euros with 194 associates.

The BTF-Group has been acquired by Sonepar Deutschland.

This new acquisition represents a major step forward for Sonepar Deustchland as the BTF Group is a well-known player in Germany generating annual sales of 50 million euros with 194 associates.

Based in the center of the country, the BTF-Group consists of three companies. The first one is BTF itself with eight branches, of which six branches are located in the north of Frankfurt. The second, HEG, is also located in the north of Frankfurt. And the last one, Bähr is based in Mannheim covering the south of Frankfurt area.

With this geographical coverage BTF contributes perfectly to Sonepar’s strategy of strengthening its market position in the attractive area of Frankfurt.

Founded in 1945, the BTF-Group serves the electrical market with a distinct expertise in dealing with customers from the health care sector to manufacturers of prefabricated houses.

Christof Bonn, General Manager and co-owner of BTF-Group will stay as an advisor supporting BTF’s General Managers Georg Tatje and Heiko Schäfer in their mission to enhance Sonepar’s market position in the Center of Germany.
