EMS has acquired a fellow South Florida distributor of aluminum products, the company announced last week.
AMD Supply, located in Deerfield Beach, provides aluminum and vinyl fencing, extrusions, tubular motors, screen doors, hardware, castings and hurricane shutters to contractors, manufacturers and dealers across the Southeast, as well as to Latin America and the Caribbean. EMS CEO Mike Swedick said that the addition of AMD would expand the company’s overall offering across “fencing and hurricane protection products.”
The deal is EMS’ eighth buyout since its acquisition by private equity firm Wynnchurch Capital in 2019. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“We are excited to welcome the AMD team to EMS and support AMD’s continued growth,” Swedick said in a statement.
Lake Worth, Florida-based EMS says it now operates over 20 manufacturing and distribution facilities.
