Hydraulic components suppliers Balflex and NRP Jones announced Tuesday that they have combined their operations in the U.S.
NRP Jones is an Indiana-based manufacturer and distributor of hydraulic hose, fittings and assemblies, while Balflex USA is the North American subsidiary of the Portuguese hydraulics manufacturer. Company officials said that the transaction would join NRP Jones’ domestic manufacturing operations, technical expertise and distributor and representative network with Balflex’s broader product range and international footprint.
The combined operations include manufacturing plants in the U.S., Portugal and Brazil, as well as distribution centers in Indiana, Texas and Utah along with five other countries. Balflex has a presence in more than 50 countries overall.
Both companies’ brands and product lines will be “fully maintained” following the combination, officials said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The companies said the deal would support improved service and product availability, and a more resilient supply chain for its customers.
“We share the same focus on our customers, and together, we can offer them more: a broader range, better service and a stronger partner in the North and South American market,” Balflex and NRP Jones executives said in a joint statement.
