B&D Industrial Announces New Division: B&D Technologies

The division was created from the merger of two former divisions, Bearings and Drives and Simco Technologies. The formerly named Bearings and Drives division was the company’s legacy division serving industry since 1947, and represents over 300 manufacturers of a large array of products.

Macon, GA – B&D Industrial, a regional industrial distribution company and solutions provider to OEMs and companies with MRO and automation needs, is announcing the creation of a new division for the company, B&D Technologies. The division was created from the merger of two former divisions, Bearings and Drives and Simco Technologies.

The formerly named Bearings and Drives division was the company’s legacy division serving industry since 1947, and represents over 300 manufacturers of a large array of products including bearings, seals and lubricants; power transmission;  fluid power; electrical; and conveyors and components. The division has a deep knowledge base of certified Bearings Specialists, engineers, technicians and programmers who assist with system design, fabrication, repair and process troubleshooting.

The formerly named Simco Technologies division of B&D Industrial serves industry through a comprehensive range of products, services and solutions. Areas of focus include automation products; sensors; vision systems; machine safety; motion control and industrial networking.

Operations will remain the same.  Effective December 1, 2013, B&D Industrial Customers will see a new logo for the division:

Benjamin Nations, vice president of B&D Industrial will oversee the management of B&D Technologies. Mr. Nations said, “We are excited to have a new name which more succinctly explains our capabilities for this merged division. To date we have been operating as two divisions working in tandem, and so this was the logical next step from a marketing perspective.”
