Fiskars Set To Open Miss. Distribution Center

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (AP) — Consumer products manufacturer Fiskars Corp. will open a distribution and warehouse center in Southaven, creating 100 jobs. The company, best known for its scissors, axes and high-quality knives, has announced it will close distribution operations in Wausau, Wis.

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (AP) — Consumer products manufacturer Fiskars Corp. will open a distribution and warehouse center in Southaven, creating 100 jobs.

The company, best known for its scissors, axes and high-quality knives, has announced it will close distribution operations in Wausau, Wis. and Sauk, Wis., and consolidate its garden and the school, office/craft warehouse and distribution division at the new location in Southaven.

The Finland-based company says it will move into an existing 260,000-square-foot facility in September.

Fiskars has its North American headquarters in Madison, Wis. It was founded in Finland in 1649, and is Finland's oldest company.
