BEDFORD, MA — F.W. Webb Company, the Northeast’s largest wholesale distributor of its kind, announced today it has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the New York Yankees. The sponsorship names F.W. Webb the Official Plumbing, Heating, HVAC, Refrigeration, Pipe, Valves and Fittings (PVF) supplier to the New York Yankees for the 2018 through 2021 baseball seasons. This marks the second Major League Baseball (MLB) sponsorship for the company, which has been an official sponsor of the Boston Red Sox since 2006.
A family-owned business founded in Massachusetts in 1866, F.W. Webb has grown to become a $1 billion company with more than 90 locations across the Northeast, including New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The company recently opened a nearly one-million-square-foot Central Distribution (CD) facility in New Hampshire that will more than double the inventory capacity of the previous CD. F.W. Webb was No. 18 on Industrial Distribution's 2017 Big 50 List.
“As our business footprint grows, we are excited to expand our brand presence by teaming up with one of the most recognizable brands in the world,” said Jeff Pope, F.W. Webb President. “We look forward to connecting with more customers in the tri-state area through our shared love for baseball and a passion for winning.”
As a sponsor of the New York Yankees, the F.W. Webb name will appear on in-stadium signage and the company will promote its partnership through advertising and customer engagement activities in Yankee Stadium and at F.W. Webb locations within the Yankees’ territory.
“We are extremely eager to be partnering with F.W. Webb, especially given its great success as a family-owned company,” said Michael J. Tusiani, New York Yankees Senior Vice President, Partnerships. “We look forward to working with F.W. Webb to further strengthen its brand awareness and increase product sales in the tri-state area and beyond.”
F.W. Webb maintains an extensive inventory of products covering 15 areas of expertise for commercial, residential, industrial and institutional customers. Specialty markets include process controls, water works, environmental services and more.
