Safety product and tool supplier SureWerx has acquired Pennsylvania workwear provider American Safety Clothing, company officials announced Friday.
SureWerx leaders said that ASC offers high heat, arc flash, FR and cut resistant safety apparel, including suits, hoods, coveralls, tops, bottoms and gloves, for a diverse range of end markets. The company said that the deal would bolster its overall lineup, particularly its “USA Made” safety apparel, as well as complement its Oberon and Pioneer brands.

“Adding American Safety Clothing to our USA manufacturing footprint and their focus on technical protective apparel will help expand a critical part of our PPE offering,” SureWerx CEO Scott Dowell said in the announcement. “It also extends partnerships that ASC has forged with other leading brands in North America.”
SureWerx also announced this month that it has added a pair of manufacturer’s rep agencies: PMG Safety in St. Louis and the Blueprint Corporation in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The agreements, the companies said, would add 30 field safety advisors across the U.S. representing SureWerx’s Oberon, Fall Safe, PeakWorks, Jackson Safety, K1 Series and Due North brands.
“This is a meaningful step forward in how we serve the market,” Scott Anderson, SureWerx’s U.S. vice president of sales, said of the new agencies. “Distributors will have stronger local selling and technical support, while end users will gain faster access to experts who understand their workplaces and can help solve real safety challenges.”
