Sealing and fluid conveyance master distributor American Packing & Gasket has been acquired by manufacturing holding company Harbour Group, company officials announced Monday.

Harbour Group leaders said that APG would officially join its SHF Inc. company and operate alongside its other flow component business, including Stainless Hose Fittings, Texcel and OmegaOne.

APG, founded in Texas in 1943, provides O-rings, gaskets, couplings and other products from locations in Houston and Knoxville, Tennessee. Its inventory exceeds 40,000 SKUs, and its value-added services include O-ring bagging, kitting and custom gasket fabrication.

"APG's product set and customer base are very complementary to that of our flow component businesses, and we are excited about the growth opportunity this combination creates,” Harbour Group Chairman and CEO Jeff Fox said in a statement. “In particular, the Ever-Tite brand was the first cam and groove coupling ever developed and remains an industry leader. It marries perfectly with Texcel's broad hose line.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
