Loading dock and industrial equipment manufacturer Rite-Hite announced Thursday that it has acquired Dallas industrial equipment dealer Johnson Equipment Company.

Johnson Equipment, founded more than 65 years ago, says it is the largest independent specialist in loading docks, industrial doors and in-plant lifts in the U.S. The company operates 15 regional offices across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Mexico, which will become part of Rite-Hite’s global distribution network.

Rite-Hite officials said that Johnson Equipment customers would continue to receive the same service and support from the company’s existing staff, and that it would take “a thoughtful approach to integrating our businesses.” Financial terms were not disclosed, but the Milwaukee company said that it was one of its “largest acquisitions to date.”

“The Johnson culture and values align perfectly with ours,” Rite-Hite CEO Micaela Bomhack said in a statement. “With a focus on the customer, a deep belief in the Rite-Hite products and solutions and an unwavering commitment to safety, innovation and integrity, this is a great match for both companies.”
