Wisconsin electrical distributor Werner announced Monday that it has acquired in-state counterpart ETCO Electric Supply Inc.
ETCO has served central and northern Wisconsin from its locations in Wausau and Minocqua since 1972. Those operations joined Werner’s network of 10 branches across Wisconsin and in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
Werner officials said that the deal represents “a win for customers across northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.”
“It’s an opportunity for Werner to strengthen our presence in the region and expand our ability to provide electrical solutions for residential and commercial construction,” Werner President Craig Wiedemeier said in the announcement. “At the same time, the ETCO team gains the scale, resources and stability of a larger organization — creating new opportunities for growth while preserving the local relationships that matter most.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
