ITT Inc. announced Monday that it has closed on its purchase of SPX FLOW and renamed its broader industrial process business.

The pump and process technology company has joined what is now known as ITT’s "Flow Technologies" segment, a leader in “centrifugal and twin‑screw pumps, engineered valves and aftermarket services.”

ITT and SPX FLOW originally announced the proposed $4.775 billion deal in early December.

“Today marks an exciting milestone as we welcome 3,900 new ITTers to our company,” ITT President and CEO Luca Savi said in a statement Monday. “With the addition of SPX FLOW’s leading technologies, strong brands and deep engineering expertise, ‘Engineered for Life’ becomes even more meaningful for ITT.”
