SRS Distribution announced Wednesday that it has acquired fellow building products distributor Sider Lumber & Supply Co.
The Home Depot subsidiary said that Long Island-based wholesaler provides lumber, decking, roofing, siding, windows, doors and related products. Frank Sider, the company’s second-generation owner, will retire following the transaction, but third-generation owner Joe Sider will continue to lead the business moving forward.
“The Sider family has established an incredibly strong reputation over the last 75 years serving the lumber industry in and around Long Island,” SRS President Kent Gardner said in the announcement. “Together, we look forward to building upon the Company’s legacy for excellent service while adding additional resources, tools and product lines.”
“We are deeply proud of the business that our family has built and are excited to enter this next chapter of growth with SRS as our partner,” Frank and Joe Sider said in a joint statement.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
