Tencarva Machinery Company announced Tuesday that it has acquired Hoffman-Kane Distributors, a Pittsburgh provider of industrial fluid handling and sealing products.
Hoffman-Kane offers seals, gaskets, pumps, packaging and isolation products, repair services and custom fabrication in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and West Virginia. The company will continue operating under its nearly 65-year-old name, and its staff — including Vice President of Sales Tim Kane and Vice President of Operations Will Kane — will continue in their respective roles.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Hoffman-Kane represents an attractive strategic fit for Tencarva as we expand our footprint further across the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic region," Tencarva President Henry Ritchie said in a statement. "The business brings technical capability, strong customer relationships, a high-quality line card and deep application expertise, in addition to a talented sales team.”
Tencarva also announced Tuesday that it secured the exclusive territorial rights for John Crane mechanical seals in the Ohio Valley and ITT Goulds pumps across Hoffman-Kane's footprint.
The North Carolina pump and fluid handling distributor, acquired by private equity firm Bessemer Investors in 2021, operates 34 locations from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic. The company ranked at no. 34 on ID’s latest Big 50 list.
