European MRO distributor Rubix announced Wednesday that it has acquired France’s largest provider of air compressors.
The deal, whose terms were not disclosed, includes Airflux along with subsidiaries Int’ Air Media and Synairgies. The Airflux business, which provides both sales and maintenance of air compressors, generates more than $58 million in annual sales and has a staff of about 230.
Airflux CEO Gilles Verstraete will remain with Rubix for two years as it joins Rubix France. Rubix France CEO Alexandre Labasse said that Airflux will complement the company’s existing compressed air expertise and create “a leading player in the French market.”
“We can now offer our customers a broader portfolio of products and services that reduce the unnecessary costs and environmental impact associated with compressed air leakage,” Labasse said in the announcement.
Verstraete added that along with “strengthening the offer available to Rubix customers, I look forward to bringing the complete Rubix multi-specialist offer to Airflux customers as we support them throughout 2026 and beyond.”
