EMCO Chemical Distributors announced Wednesday that it has reached an agreement to acquire fellow chemical distributor Pride Chemical Solutions, company officials announced Wednesday.
Pride, located in Holtsville, New York, provides industrial chemicals to over 1,500 customers primarily in the Northeast. It operates two distribution and packaging facilities and a dedicated delivery fleet, and distributes, blends and packages more than 3,000 SKUs.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Our acquisition of Pride is the result of our strategy to expand EMCO’s geographic footprint not just organically, but also through M&A, targeted at highly complementary businesses,” Frank Bergonzi, the executive chairman of EMCO’s board, said in a statement.
“My father founded this company more than 50 years ago, but it was our employees, through their hard work, loyalty and dedication, who carried his vision forward and made Pride what it is today,” added Pride CEO Art Dhom Jr. “That is why finding a partner who respects our name, our reputation and our people mattered so deeply to me.”
EMCO, based in southeastern Wisconsin, says it operates eight distribution and packaging facilities, as well as an application lab and an environmental services facility.
