West Texas packaged gas, welding product and safety equipment distributor B&J Welding Supply has acquired nearby counterpart GM Welding Supply, company officials said.

B&J officials said that GM’s San Angelo, Texas, facility would be rebranded and become its seventh location in the state. The branch will retain GM’s current staff.

B&J added that the new location would feature an expanded product lineup, as well as improved inventory availability, delivery capabilities and customer service.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This strategic move brings together two respected industry leaders to better serve the welding, industrial and propane needs of customers throughout San Angelo and the surrounding region,” B&J officials wrote in a social media post earlier this month.

The company was slated to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the rebranded branch on Tuesday, according to the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce.
